The event saw 60 guests enjoy an evening of tutored wine tasting, complete with cheese matches and a selection of canapes.

Combined with their fund raising efforts during Mental Health Awareness Week and the themed event in store, the Poulton team raised a total of £500 for mental health charity MIND.

MIND is a charity that provides advice and support to empower anyone concerned about their mental health and campaign to improve services, raise awareness and promote understanding.

Richard Sykes, Store Manager said, “Putting on events like this really brings the community together. It’s great to see everyone having such a good evening with people they’ve never spoken to before.  At Poulton, we pride ourselves on being active members of the community and nights like this not only help bring the community together, but also help us raise money for fantastic causes too.”

The Poulton store regularly hosts different themed events in store with all profits going to charity. In total, the team have raised over £18,000 for local charities including Brian’s House Children’s Hospice and they have also been able to sponsor two guide dogs for the blind costing £5,000 each.
