An illuminating contract win at famous artisan yogurt producer

Distinctive illuminated signage is lighting up the entrance to the one of the UK’s most famous artisan yogurt producers thanks to a Preston signage firm.

Signs Express was awarded the contract to create new signage at Ann Forshaw’s Alston Dairy in Longridge, near Preston.

The Red Scar based signage firm’s talented team of designers created 10 new aluminium signs with LED lighting and acrylic edges to allow for illumination.

The results can now be seen at the entrance to the dairy on the B6243 Preston Road and also on the dairy buildings.

Tom Smith, who designed and installed the signage, said: “Creating a sign with a glowing green edge was something that I had never seen before.

“Making that happen over such a large sign proved a challenge, but the final result is stunning.

“It certainly catches the eye – and gives a green glow over Longridge at night.”

Ann Forshaw is a £3 million turnover business whose products are stocked in most major UK supermarkets, including Waitrose and Booth’s, as well as being used as a prime ingredient by top hotels and restaurants across the country.

Emma Coupe, Development Director at Alston Dairy, said: “The signage was part of an ongoing development project we have been undertaking to increase our capacity capabilities.

“We found the process of designing to installation of the signs very easy, with the whole team at Signs Express very willing to help with any queries we had.

“We would highly recommend them and wouldn’t use anyone else for any future signage and graphics work.

“We have had so many lovely comments about the new signs and we are extremely pleased with them.”

Signs Express has previously successfully provided eye-catching graphic for Ann Forshaw’s vehicle fleet and other external signs around the Lancashire dairy farm.
