Didsbury Gin has experienced an exciting growth outside of England, as the Northern born spirit secures new partnerships in Scotland with a new wholesale partner and a number of bar deals.
The team at Didsbury Gin have partnered with established wholesaler Filshill to grow their footprint in the area. Having won the Scottish Wholesale Association’s prestigious Champions awards a number of times, the wholesaler was chosen by Didsbury Gin based on its interest in new products and ability to help smaller businesses grow via its wide distribution network in Scotland.
Didsbury Gin have plans in the pipeline to appoint a brand ambassador in Scotland to work with them to grow their reach across the country, with longer term plans to put permanent sales managers in place.
The craft Didsbury Gin combines traditional artisan methods and infuses modern botanicals using a blend of hand peeled fresh citrus, British roots and hand cracked juniper berries. The result is clean, crisp & zesty – good enough to drink neat, perfect with tonic and delightful in cocktails.
Sue Man, Group Marketing Manager for Filshill said “We are delighted to be the first Scottish wholesaler to work with Didsbury Gin. Introducing fantastic craft gins to the market plays a prominent role here at J.W. Filshill. The market has seen tremendous growth over the years and is an exciting scene to be part of.”
Liam Manton of Didsbury Gin commented ‘Our growth in Scotland is a really exciting one for us as it allows us to get Didsbury Gin in the hands of so many more gin lovers across the UK. It was important for us to partner with a wholesaler as passionate about the spirit as we are, and we’re really pleased to be working with the team at Filshills.’
Mark Smallwood of the gin brand added ‘It’s great for us to grow the brand even further and into Scotland. We’re excited with the success we’ve had in Manchester and the north over the last few months and really pleased to be stocked at Gusto venues in Scotland. We hope our partnership with Filshill will allow us to build on this early success and introduce Didsbury Gin to the refined palate of the Scottish Gin drinker’.
