Manchester United have agreed a new deal with Lancashire-based sports nutrition company Science in Sport plc.
The new agreement, runs from January 2018 to the end of May 2021, and positions the Nelson-headquartered business as the club’s Official Sports Nutrition Partner in Europe.
Science in Sport develops, manufactures and markets nutrition products for professional athletes and sports enthusiasts, with their relationships now extending to more than 40 English and Scottish League clubs, including nine in the English Premier League.
The company will now benefit from Manchester United’s 90m-strong follower base in Europe, as well as a presence on the MUFC website, which attracts more than 5.8m unique visitors each month.
In turn, Manchester United will be provided with a dedicated performance nutritionist, who will advise on nutritional strategies. Science in Sport will also install a Fuel Station within the club’s AON Training Complex, giving players and staff direct access to their products every day.
