A coastal hotel’s inaugural gin festival proved a roaring success at the weekend with tickets selling out and over 350guests attending.
The art-deco classic Midland Hotel in Morecambe held the event as part of its ten year anniversary celebrations since it re-opened its doors in 2008.
The hotel, run by English Lakes Hotels Resorts & Venues, also marked the occasion with the launch of its very own premium gin, Seahorse No.10. The launch coincided with World Gin Day.
Mark Needham, the General Manager of The Midland, says: “Tickets for the festival sold out really quickly and our guests enjoyed a lively weekend and a range of great food and drinks from premium gin houses, as well as an imaginative selection of cocktails.
“Seahorse No.10 was very well received by guests and the launch of the new premium gin was a big talking point. We sold a number of bottles as a result and the gin is now available exclusively here at the Midland.”
Guests attended two sessions over the weekend event, with ticket entry including a commemorative Midland Gin glass, a complementary sampling of Seahorse No.10 and live entertainment from Boogie Bill & the Billionaires and Steve Middlesbrough.
