Stockport-based local suppliers of quality fresh produce to caterers, R. Noone and Son, have recruited former chef and produce supplier Jonny Baron to their team.
Born and bred in Burnley, Jonny brings with him great industry experience with over 20 years as a chef in some top Michelin starred restaurants, working with some of the best chefs in the country. Jonny worked alongside Nigel Howarth for 10 years, at the renowned Northcote Manor before moving supplier side to West Country Fine Foods, followed by 13 years working with national supplier, Wellocks.
Maggie Noone said “To our established team, Jonny brings a chefs perspective we’ve never had before. Coupled with the huge success of our development kitchen, launched last year, we know Jonny can help us drive the business forwards expanding our product ranges and continuing to deliver our aims of quality, service and value.”
Jonny commented, “I am excited to be joining Noones at this time. I thrive on new challenges and am looking forward to what the future holds both for myself and the company. Noones have a great customer base and I believe my knowledge and experience will complement the existing knowledge within Noones business, in order to provide our customers with the fantastic range and service they would expect from their local produce & dry goods supplier.”
A family run business for over 60 years, established by Rose Noone as a market stall in Heywood, R Noone & Son is now into its third generation. The company has moved with the changing market; when the high street suffered at the hands of the supermarkets, four successful shops gave way to supplying restaurants and the catering trade.
Noones source only the very best quality available, and deliver in fully refrigerated vehicles within a 60 mile radius of their site in Bredbury, Stockport. Unsurpassed customer service along with their attention to detail has ensured constant growth, ever since.
