Following Tom Bell’s success launching Skinny Brands in the UK, his entrepreneurial spirit has been recognised by the organisers of this years NatWest’s Great British Entrepreneur Awards.
Since launching in December 2016, Skinny Lager, the low-calorie 4% ABV beer has taken the industry by storm. In under two years, over two million bottles of Skinny Lager have been produced and the company now ship their products to Norway, Italy, Republic of Ireland, Israel, Russia, Dubai and the United Arab Emirates.
Tom has beaten off some tough competition to make it to the regional shortlist for the Entrepreneurial Spirit Award, with a large number of businesses entering the awards across the country.
Now in its sixth year, the NatWest Great British Entrepreneur Awards has celebrated some amazing entrepreneurs over the years, many of whom are now household names. Past winners include David Buttress of Just Eat, Julie Deane OBE of The Cambridge Satchel Company, James Watt of BrewDog and most recently, Hannah and Sophie Pycroft of Spectrum Collections.
Tom comments: “Skinny Brands wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for a lot of hard work and determination – it has taken a lot of drive to make my dream a reality. From working out of my back bedroom to becoming an international brand, it’s been an absolute rollercoaster!
“I’m an advocate for thinking outside the box and encouraging innovation in business so I’m really proud to have been named on the shortlist. Here’s to the next stage of the competition!”
The winners for the North West region will be announced on 15th November 2018.
The NatWest Great British Entrepreneur Awards will celebrate entrepreneurship across a number of categories at 5 gala finals across the UK, including; Cardiff, Birmingham, Edinburgh, Manchester & London.
