NutreeLife, the Lancashire-based manufacturer of innovative plant-based protein snacks, has introduced a UK first product into the ever-expanding protein bar market. Named ‘Live Well’, the healthy bar range includes superfood ingredients such as turmeric, blueberries and activated charcoal.
Adam Hodgkinson, co-founder and head of new product development at NutreeLife, said, “The protein and health bar market has become saturated with products that provide very little benefit to consumers, so we set out to create a truly unique health bar that provided much more than just extra protein.”
Each bar within the range has been carefully crafted with specific ingredients designed to support a holistic lifestyle. Turmeric, which contains the active ingredient curcumin has anti-inflammatory benefits and is the main ingredient in the Recovery Live Well bar.
The four bars that make up the Live Well range are – Energy Boost, Detox, Wellbeing and Recovery, with each bar delivering over 12 grams of plant-based protein and less than 200 Kcal per serving.
Alongside the beneficial ingredients, the Live Well range also boasts some enticing and exotic flavours. These include Spiced Clementine, Toasted Pistachio and Pink Guava.
The new bar range has been created in a way that is consistent with the NutreeLife mission – to create great nutrition, accessible for all.
This means the range is gluten, soya and dairy free making it one of a few products that can be consumed by a wide range of consumers, including vegans and vegetarians.
“Our superfood snacks bars are perfect for those consumers who are looking for a healthy treat throughout the day,” explains Jade Hodgkinson, Marketing Director at NutreeLife.
“We expect they will appeal to the health and wellness community, who we understand are underserved by the current range of protein-only foods that are targeting more towards sports enthusiasts.”
The new Live Well range will initially be available online at NutreeLife, Amazon and is expected to be available through selected stores over the next 6 months.
